We also publish stand-alone Signpost reports focusing on equities and commodities.
Please see below the most recent example of each of our Signpost reports.
Welcome to the first of our stand-alone Signpost Commodities publications. In this edition, Paul Singer, our resources equity and commodity analyst, first steps back and considers commodities as an asset class, then reviews recent price developments and gives our views on the likely outlook for each of the various sub-sectors – energy, metals, gold and agricultural and the specific commodities therein – within the commodity asset class.
Barclays Wealth, 15 April 2008

Much of this material is based on the research carried out by our colleagues at Barclays Capital’s Commodity Research department and especially their ‘Commodity Refiner’ publications – the authoritative document on the outlook for commodities.
Rather than merely reproduce this document for Barclays Wealth clients, we have ‘nudged’ their forecasts to reflect the fact that our global demand forecasts are for slightly weaker rates of expansion than Barclays Capital expects. Furthermore, we have also incorporated opinions gleaned from selected industrial and equity corporate sources. Nonetheless, relative to consensus expectations, nearly all of the Barclays Wealth and Barclays Capital views align – implying real opportunities for investors if we are right in our prognostications.
