Financial guarantees
Sometimes, you may need to offer financial guarantees or standby letters of credit to other financial institutions or third parties to support your personal, corporate or trade-related activities.
As part of our credit services, Barclays can provide financial guarantees secured against the assets that you hold with us. These may be cash deposits, bonds, equities or other types of securities.
We offer guarantees in a standard, internationally agreed format that’s individually tailored to your needs, including:

- Maintenance guarantees
What we offer
Financial guarantees are available for £30,000 and upwards in any major currency. They are issued for any period up to a year, with longer terms available on request.
All are available in an individual name, the name of corporate entities, or the name of trust structures, depending on your requirements.
