Your attitude to risk
We can tailor an investment portfolio to reflect your attitude to- and capacity for risk.
Risk and return
Generally speaking, the higher the level of risk the higher the potential returns on an investment.
There is a degree of risk with every investment. This is why we offer products that provide access to investments across the spectrum of risk, from government bonds through to equities and commodities.
To create the right investment solution for you, we need to understand how you feel about, and what your tolerance is to risk in relation to investments.
Understanding your personal attitude to risk
By drawing on the benefits of behavioural psychology, we are able to get a thorough understanding of how you feel about risk. This enables us to identify the investments with which you are most likely to feel comfortable.
If you are risk averse, we will avoid investments and asset classes that would make you nervous about your capital or expected return. If you have a higher appetite or tolerance for risk, then we can include investments that have a higher potential for growth and an accordingly higher level of risk.
Tailoring the right solution for you
As well as your appetite for risk, we also need to understand your circumstances, existing investments and financial aspirations. Once we have all of this information, we can create an investment and financial planning solution tailored to your unique needs.
Investment funds should be viewed as a medium- to long-term commitment, that is five years or more, and our structured products range between three and six years. The value and any income from them can go down as well as up. You might get back less than you originally invested.
You have sole responsibility for the management of your tax and legal affairs, including making any applicable filings and payments and complying with any applicable laws and regulations. We have not provided and will not provide you with tax or legal advice and recommend that you obtain your own independent tax and legal advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
