Barclays Wealth appoints new Head of Investment Strategy EMEA

Kevin Gardiner will develop and implement investment strategy recommendations worldwide
Barclays Wealth, the global wealth manager, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Gardiner as Managing Director and Head of Investment Strategy for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Mr Gardiner joins from HSBC, where he was the chief global equity strategist. At Barclays Wealth he will be responsible for developing and implementing our investment strategy recommendations worldwide and will lead that effort in Europe. This includes contributing to our monthly investment strategy publication, Compass.

Mr Gardiner is an economist who studied at the London School of Economics and Cambridge University before joining the Bank of England. He also has extensive experience as a strategist having worked for over two decades at Credit Suisse, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and SG Warburg.
Mr Gardiner will report to Aaron Gurwitz, Global Head of Investment Strategy and to Arnaud de Servigny, Global Head of Research Strategy and Quantitative Analytics.
