Appointments of Gerard Aquilina and Emmanuel Fievet add both strength and depth to the senior leadership team.

Barclays Wealth is delighted to announce important changes to further strengthen its senior leadership. The changes incorporate the appointments of Gerard Aquilina, into a business critical new role, and Emmanuel Fievet, as the new Head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) International Private Banking operation.
Gerard Aquilina, who in the two years since joining from HSBC has been responsible for leading the expansion of both the Barclays Wealth presence and its offering for high net worth clients in the EMEA region, will take on a new role; that of Vice-Chairman, Barclays Wealth. Gerard’s new responsibilities will involve the management of many of the firm’s most important and high profile international client relationships in addition to new business development
Emmanuel Fievet, who joins the firm from UBS, will take over as Managing Director, Head of International Private Banking, EMEA with effect from the beginning of December. Emmanuel has, since 2006, been Managing Director and Head of UK Onshore Wealth Management at UBS having previously been Head of Sales Management in the UK. Prior to UBS, Emmanuel held senior positions within Citigroup Private Bank and JP Morgan.
