Barclays Wealth announces the appointment of Deepak Rattan as a Director – Private Clients, India. Mr Rattan joins the firm from ABN AMRO Bank N.V. where he had been since the inception of the private banking business in July 2002.

In his new role within Barclays Wealth, Mr Rattan will be key in servicing Barclays Wealth’s expanding private client base. He will be based in Mumbai and will report into Satya Bansal, CEO of Barclays Wealth, India.
Satya Bansal, who joined Barclays Wealth in July 2007 from the ICICI group of companies, comments, “I am delighted to welcome Deepak to Barclays Wealth. His appointment is key as we continue in our strategy to build a world class wealth management offering and expand our proposition in India.”
Mr. Rattan brings nearly fifteen years of experience in the financial service industry to Barclays Wealth and is a Bachelor of Engineering (BE – Electrical) from PEC, Chandigarh, and studied a Master of Finance and Control (MFC) at the Department of Financial Studies, Delhi University.
