Barclays Wealth has appointed Nathan Dawes as Head of Marketing and Communications for its direct brokerage business, Barclays Stockbrokers.

Barclays Wealth has appointed Nathan Dawes as Head of Marketing and Communications for its direct brokerage business, Barclays Stockbrokers. Mr Dawes joins Barclays Wealth from ninemsn, where as Group Marketing Manager he was responsible across the portfolio of brands including Hotmail and MSN Messenger, in Australia and New Zealand. Mr Dawes will report to Tom Ryan, Director Marketing and Proposition, who has responsibility for strategy and planning across the Barclays Stockbrokers business.
Based in London, Mr Dawes will be responsible for managing Barclays Stockbrokers’ end-to-end marketing function, from customer insight, brand strategy, creative development and integrated product campaigns.

Mr Dawes spent four years at ninemsn, Australia's number one online portal. There, he was responsible for research and insights, brand planning, communication strategy and integrated creative development. While at ninemsn.com.au, Mr Dawes was part of the management team that quadrupled revenue generated in three years. Before ninemsn, Nathan held the role of Group Account Director at Leo Burnett Sydney working across integrated client business. Prior to this role he was Digital Strategist with Leo Burnett, solely responsible for the digital strategy across all of the agency’s clients. Previous to Leo Burnett, Nathan was with Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney, building its digital and direct business.
